How do I book Serra do Meio Estate?
You can book your stay directly with Serra do Meio Estate or through one of our selected partners.To begin the conversation, simply email us at hello@serradomeio.com.
Is the estate exclusively ours?
Yes. Every reservation enjoys exclusive use of Serra do Meio Estate.Our sheep graze across the estate and a small team looks after the animals and maintains the property. The staff live in a separate house away from the guest accommodation, allowing you to enjoy complete privacy while ensuring the estate is cared for throughout your stay.
What is the minimum stay?
During the High Season (May to September) the minimum stay is 7 consecutive nights.During the Low Season (October to April, except some Hollidays) the minimum stay is 2 consecutive nights.
How many guests can stay?
Serra do Meio Estate accommodates up to 10 guests.Upon prior request, we may be able to accommodate up to two additional children, depending on the composition of your group.
Is daily housekeeping included?
Yes.Daily housekeeping for up to four hours per day is included in your stay. Additional housekeeping hours can be arranged upon request, subject to availability and an additional charge.
Can you organise a private chef?
Yes. We are happy to recommend experienced private chefs and talented local cooks. If you prefer, we can coordinate the arrangements on your behalf. However, Serra do Meio Estate is not the service provider, and the agreement for these services is made directly with the chosen professional.
Can we arrive earlier?
Early check-in may be possible depending on availability.Please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Is breakfast included?
No. As every stay is individually designed, guests are free to choose whether they prefer to prepare their own meals, arrange a private chef, or explore the excellent local restaurants.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes. The estate is equipped with Starlink high-speed satellite internet, providing reliable Wi-Fi throughout the main house.
Is the swimming pool heated?
No.The swimming pool is not heated and is available seasonally.
Is Serra do Meio Estate suitable for children?
Yes. Families are very welcome. Parents are kindly asked to supervise children at all times, particularly around the swimming pools, lake and farm areas.
Can we fish in the lake? Yes. Guests are welcome to fish in the estate's private lake. To help preserve the ecosystem: Fishing is not permitted between 15 March and 15 May. Any fish measuring less than 30 cm must be returned to the water alive.
Can I use the golf simulator at any time?
Yes.The golf simulator is available exclusively for your group throughout your stay.We recommend bringing your own golf clubs to enjoy the most realistic experience.
If you are travelling without clubs, we can arrange rental clubs for the duration of your stay.
Can you organise horse riding?
Yes. We can either introduce you directly to one of our trusted local partners or coordinate the arrangements on your behalf.
Can you arrange a hot air balloon flight?Yes.We work with experienced local operators and are happy to organise this experience for you.The balloon operator remains the service provider.
Can you recommend restaurants?
Absolutely. Every stay begins with a conversation. Whether you are looking for traditional Alentejo cuisine, fine dining or a relaxed family lunch, we are happy to recommend restaurants that match your preferences or help design your itinerary day by day.
Can you organise wine tastings?
Yes.We can recommend and coordinate visits to some of the region's excellent wineries, as well as olive oil producers and other local experiences that reflect the character of Alentejo.
Can I bring my dog?
As a general rule, pets are not permitted.The estate is home to sheep, working dogs and local wildlife, and introducing unfamiliar animals may create unnecessary risks. If bringing a pet is essential, please contact us before booking. In certain circumstances we may be able to accommodate your pet outdoors, subject to our Property Rules.
Can we organise an event?
Serra do Meio Estate is designed primarily for private stays with family and friends.If you are interested in organising a celebration, retreat or corporate gathering, please visit our Panache Events page or contact us directly to discuss your plans.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Our cancellation policy depends on the time of cancellation and the season of your reservation. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details, or contact us if you have any questions before confirming your booking.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is not permitted inside any of the buildings. A designated smoking area is available on the balcony. During the summer months, smoking is strictly prohibited in the fields and natural areas due to the high risk of wildfire. Guests are kindly asked to use the designated smoking area or, where appropriate, non-combustion alternatives such as vaping devices.
Which airport should I fly into?
Serra do Meio Estate is centrally located in the Alentejo and is easily accessible from several international and regional airports, offering flexibility for both commercial and private travel.

• Évora Airport (EVO): 50 km (approximately 40 minutes)
• Beja Airport (BYJ): 55 km (approximately 45 minutes)
• Badajoz Airport (BJZ), Spain: 130 km (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes)
• Lisbon Airport (LIS): 180 km (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes)
• Faro Airport (FAO): 180 km (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes)
• Seville Airport (SVQ), Spain: 190 km (approximately 2 hours 15 minutes)
Évora and Beja airports primarily serve general aviation, executive aviation and charter operations.
Can you arrange transportation?
Yes.
We can assist in coordinating airport transfers, private chauffeurs, executive vehicle hire, private aircraft charters and helicopter transfers through our trusted local partners. Whether you arrive by commercial flight, private jet or helicopter, we will be pleased to help organise the journey that best suits your itinerary.

Do I need a car?
We recommend having a car during your stay to make the most of everything the Alentejo has to offer. Ample private parking is available throughout the estate.
If you prefer not to drive, we will be happy to help coordinate transportation through one of our trusted local partners.
